Ethical Workforce Solutions at the Skills for Care Managers Conference 2026
Ethical Workforce Solutions was proud to attend the Managers Conference 2026 at Wyboston Lakes Resort in Bedfordshire, a major two-day event hosted by Skills for Care and the National Care Forum for managers across adult social care. The conference took place on 9 and 10 March 2026 and brought together care leaders from across the country to share knowledge, ask questions, explore new ideas and build valuable peer connections.
It was a fantastic opportunity for our team to meet both new and familiar faces, including valued connections from Borough Care and Deafway, and to spend time speaking with registered managers and care leaders about the realities they are facing right now.
One of the strongest takeaways from the conference was just how much registered managers are being asked to hold at the moment.
From workforce uncertainty to changing employment rights and day-to-day operational pressures, leaders across social care are being expected to guide their teams through a lot of change.
That’s why practical, relevant training and leadership support matters. Ethical Workforce Solutions is proud to be part of those conversations, and part of the solution.
At the event, we were pleased to showcase some of the specialist adult social care training and consultancy services that make our offer unique, including:
-
specialist clinical skills training from our experienced nurse trainers
-
support around the personalisation agenda, including Personal Health Budgets
-
our established clinical competency sign-off service, first developed more than six years ago in Greater Manchester and now operating UK wide
The Managers Conference is an annual event designed to champion and support the crucial role of managers in adult social care. The programme included conference sessions, practical workshops and panel discussions, all focused on helping managers respond to the challenges they face on a daily basis and support their teams to provide the highest quality care. It is also described as the only conference dedicated to care managers, deputy managers and aspiring managers across adult social care.

For Ethical Workforce Solutions, events like this are about more than visibility. They are about listening to the sector, understanding the pressures managers are working under, and continuing to shape training and consultancy services that are genuinely useful in practice.

It was also a real pleasure to catch up with our friends from Deafway in Preston and to be reminded of how valuable networking can be in supporting exceptional care. Strong sector connections matter, and opportunities to share experiences with other providers, managers and partners are an important part of moving adult social care forward.

We came away feeling proud of our team, proud of our customers, and energised by the conversations we had over the two days. The future of adult social care depends on confident, supported and well-equipped leaders, and we are committed to playing our part in helping registered managers and care teams thrive.
