Get Ready for Social Care returns to Colwyn Bay this March

We’re really happy to share that our FREE / fully funded Get Ready for Social Care programme is back again in Colwyn Bay – and we’re now taking enrolments. The last time we ran this course, we saw learners arrive feeling unsure of what to expect, and leave the week with new confidence, new skills, and a real sense of pride. It’s exactly why we’re bringing it back by popular demand. Delivered in partnership with Conwy Employment Hub and funded by the UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund, this programme gives Conwy residents a friendly, practical introduction to working in health and social care – with recognised certificates to help you take your next step.

Over five days, you’ll work towards:

• The All Wales Moving and Handling Passport

• The All Wales Induction Framework for Social Care

These qualifications are essential to enable work across the sector in Wales and are a great starting point if you’re thinking about applying for care roles.

A big part of the week focuses on Moving and Handling, with hands-on training delivered by experienced trainers. You’ll learn safe, person-centred techniques and get a clearer picture of what care work is really like – in a supportive environment where you can ask questions, build confidence, and take things step by step.
