Meet the Trainers – Part 1: Nettie, Director of Learning and Development

In this new blog series, we’re introducing the experts behind our courses—starting with our newest team member, Nettie.

A Warm Welcome to Nettie

With over 20 years of experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Nettie has joined Ethical Workforce Solutions with a clear focus: to prioritise staff wellbeing while delivering outstanding, CPD-accredited training across the UK.

In her own words, Nettie shares:

“I’ve just wrapped up my first week at EWS, and what a week it’s been! From brushing up on clinical skills to starting one-to-one sessions with staff, it’s been a varied, rewarding and energising start.”

But it’s not just clinical expertise Nettie is bringing to the table. Her approach to leadership is rooted in compassion, connection and care. She believes small changes can make a big impact – and that wellbeing should be embedded in every part of our organisation, including the training we deliver to others.

Championing Wellbeing in the Workplace

Nettie’s first week has already seen her putting wellbeing into action, encouraging staff to take time for themselves through something as simple, yet effective, as walking in nature:

“I’ve always believed in getting out and about walking in the fresh air. Rather than being cooped up in an office, I’m going to make sure all our staff get some air and exercise while ensuring their wellness.”

This holistic approach aligns beautifully with our trauma-informed, person-centred ethos. At EWS, we don’t just talk about mental health – we live it, support it, and train others to understand it.
