All Wales Induction Framework for H&SC (3 Day)
An essential 3-day course for all new care and support workers in Wales.
Course Length. 3 Days
Introduction
This unique 3 day course was designed through collaboration with nursing and care home managers to assist care staff to quickly and efficiently complete their All Wales Induction Framework standards. Offered in a fun, accessible and enjoyable way, portfolios are provided by EWS with quizzes, certificates, activities and role plays provided through the 3 days to evidence the learning undertaken.
Course Contents
Learned components of the AWIF Sections 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7, covering a variety of subjects from health and safety and fire prevention to dementia awareness and care, person centred planning to record keeping, and from key legislation to best care practices. Distribution and completion of the workbooks through guided learning over the 3 days.
The trainer assesses competency in the completion of each of the 5 learned workbooks.
At the end of the 3 days, learners undertake workshops with the trainers, discussing how best to demonstrate their completion of the AWIF, including adapting their CVs to enable a more favourable position for job applications and at interviews.
Learners are provided with their completed portfolio of learning, ready for existing or potential new employers to sign-off final completion, ready for registration with Social Care Wales.
Course Outcomes
Successful completion of this training course will result in the award of a CPD accredited certificate covering all aspects of the above course contents.
What are the Next Steps after this Training?
Learners can potentially make themselves even more favourable at job interviews by completing mandatory training such as our All Wales Moving and Handling Passport (2 days) and Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day).
