Breakaway and Avoidance

Following training in the foundation and theory of our Positive Behavioural Support course, some organisations may find it necessary for everyone’s safety to equip staff with safe breakaway and avoidance skills with – when necessary – safe holds.

Course Length. 7 hours / 1 day

Introduction

While Ethical Workforce Solutions believe in the power and philosophy of Positive Behavioural Support techniques and training, there is an acceptance that – on rare occasions and only when absolutely required as a last resort – physical intervention may be required.  Where organisations adopt a policy of using physical interventions as a last resort, using least restrictive techniques, our CPD accredited Breakaway and Avoidance training is ideal.
