Insulin Administration

This half day, practical insulin administration training is the ideal training for nurses (and staff with delegated responsibilities) in the administration  of subcutaneous insulin.

Introduction

Insulin administration training provides healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to safely and effectively administer insulin to individuals with diabetes.  This training covers topics such as understanding different types of insulin, proper injection techniques, dosage calculations, and monitoring for potential complications.  It is crucial for anyone administering insulin to be properly trained and signed off as competent to ensure patient safety.

Practical session using manikin

Course Outcomes

Successful completion of this training course will result in the award of a CPD accredited certificate covering all aspects of the above course contents.  It is recommended that staff complete supervised real-life competency following this training.
